Purpose
Creating services is one of the first key steps for admin users on your client portal. Services define what your organisation offers and are displayed to clients (end users) in the client portal.
Each service also acts as a dedicated communication space where all messages, file sharing, updates and other ‘magic’ related to that specific service request will take place. This keeps conversations organised and clearly linked to each request.
Step-by-Step Guide
1.Navigate to Services
After registering and logging into your admin account, go to the side panel and select ‘Services’.
2. Click ‘New Service’
Click the ‘New Service’ button.
3. Fill in the Service Form
A form will appear with the following fields:
Language: Select the language for the service title and description.
Title: Enter the name of the service.
Description: Optionally, include an internal or public-facing description.
Add other translations: Add multilingual versions if needed.
Has an additional input field:
This must be configured by you (the admin).
Enable this option if you want the client to view additional fields related to the service — for example, specifying a time period, entering a reference number, or describing particular requirements.
Leave this disabled if no extra information or specification is required.
4. (Optional) Add a Generic “Other” Service
You can also create a general-purpose ‘Other’ service to let clients describe unlisted requests.
Recommended setup:
Title: Other
Has additional input field: Enabled (to allow clients to explain their needs)
5. Click ‘Create’
Once all details are entered, click ‘Create’. The service will now appear in your list and will be available to clients for selection in their portal.
Conversations Are Linked to Services
Every service selected by a client becomes its own ‘communication thread’. This is where all messages, shared files, and updates are exchanged — keeping everything tied to the specific context of the request.
Summary
Creating services allows you to:
Define the offerings your clients can request
Enable or disable client input fields per service
Keep communication and documents organised per request
